# Ratings

As a WeRate user, you’re living an exciting and vibrant lifestyle—exploring diverse venues, enjoying memorable experiences, and going out with your different **Bohemians**.

But great experiences come at a cost. That’s where the **rating system** comes in—a core mechanic that regulates review activity through a **star-based resource system** where leaving one review will cost 1 star.

The system operates on a **five-star scale**, with all users starting at **one star**. Additional stars unlock based on your **Bohemian** ownership:

* Common Bohemians unlock up to 2 star-ratings
* Rare Bohemians unlock up to 3 star-ratings
* Epic Bohemians unlock up to 4 star-ratings
* Legendary Bohemians unlock up to 5 star-ratings

During **BETA**, users can unlock up to **3-star ratings**.

* The **first additional star** is unlocked after leaving **5 reviews**.
* The **second additional star** is unlocked after successfully **referring a friend**.

Additionally, **stars regenerate** at a rate of **1 star every 5 hours**, ensuring you always have the opportunity to keep reviewing and sharing your experiences.
