Introducing weRate

As a Web2.5 mobile application, we remove all technical barriers to participate in the review economy delivering the simplicity of Web2 with the ownership and upside of Web3.

🧭 Web2 Experience

Within 2 minutes, users can:

  • Download the weRate app

  • Create an account

  • Start reviewing their favourite businesses

To ensure that ratings are authentic, we use:

  • Proof-of-Location

  • Biometric verification

  • AI-powered ticket scanning (in future release)

Our goal is to deliver the best local discovery experience, with aggregated scores and data from multiple platforms making weRate the most valuable search engine for restaurants, bars, and local businesses.

🏅 Earn as You Interact

Every valuable action — such as checking in, scanning a ticket, or leaving a review — earns users:

  • Points : Defines your rank in monthly leaderboards and competitions.

  • Credits : In-app utility token to upgrade your profile, unlock features, and claim benefits.

These are Web2-native systems — no wallet, no crypto required.

🔗 How We Use Web3

Users who connect their Solana wallet unlock full ownership and Web3 rewards:

  • 🪙 $RATE token rewards Top performers on leaderboards can claim a share of weekly, monthly, and yearly $RATE distributions.

  • 💳 $RATE as in-app currency Used for purchases, profile upgrades, reservations, and — in the future — governance via the DAO.

  • 🔐 Immutable reviews Every review is hashed and stored on-chain to ensure transparency and verifiability.

  • 🎭 Avatars (NFTs) These in-game characters are at the core of the GameFi experience. Owning and upgrading your avatars unlocks access, status, and long-term ecosystem perks.

Web3 is optional, not required — we let users choose when to transition from Web2 to full digital ownership.
