Storing Proof-of-Review onchain

This feature is not yet connected to the WeRate mobile app and will be released in 2026.

Every review on WeRate can be stored anonymously on the Solana blockchain. This includes a hashed reference to the review’s content, timestamp, and venue location — without exposing personal data.

This brings three major benefits:

• Permanence: No review can be deleted, edited, or hidden — not even by the venue or WeRate.

• Verifiability: Third parties can independently confirm that a real person visited a real venue and left a real review.

• Ownership: Users can mint their reviews as NFTs to their own wallets, whether for transparency, gamified rewards, or personal records.

By anchoring reviews onchain, we make authenticity tamper-proof — and finally put user contributions on equal footing with platform power.
